Appointment as Artistic Director of Pallas Theatre Collective

In February 2014, I was appointed the Artistic Director of Pallas Theatre Collective where I'd previously served as the Casting and Collective Manager.  Read the press release here.

Taming of the Shrew with PTC

Happy to announce I will be directing the third show of Pallas Theatre Collective's 4th Season, Taming of the Shrew!  The entire season will be produced at the new Anacostia Arts Center.  Shrew will open October 8th and close October 26th.

Grieving for Genevieve at Venus Theatre

In June, I will make my debut at Venus Theatre playing Delilah Peck in Kathleen Warnock's Grieving for Genevieve.  The show, directed by Artistic Director Deb Randall, will run June 6-30.

The Tragical Mirth of Marriage & Love : Short Scenes by Anton Chekhov with Pallas Theatre Collective

The Tragical Mirth of Marriage and Love : Short Scenes by Anton Chekhov will be presented at the 2013 Capital Fringe Festival.  The show includes Chekhov's The Bear and The Proposal and stars Michael Boynton and Allison Galen in the lead roles.

Causality with LiveArt

In January 2013, LiveArt (rhymes with GiveArt DC) held it's first meeting for Causality, a long term, process oriented production with script by Kevin Finkelstein and direction by me.  The cast of Causality currently includes James Radack, Julie Garner, Michael Rodriquez and Belen Pifel.  Our creative team (cast, director, designers, playwright) will work on this project until we decide it is ready to be presented to an audience.  This could take anywhere from 1-4 years, there really is no time limit.

One Night Only Concert to Benefit Pallas Theatre Collective

Pallas Theatre Collective is delighted to host violinist Amy Beth Horman with pianist Frank Conlon in recital on January 25th at 7:30pm at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Ms. Horman will be performing a theatre-inspired program, featuring works by Bernstein, Gershwin, and Korngold, and the recital will be supplemented by scenes from Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" with actors Mike Boynton and Ty Hallmark, and lectures, and multimedia from Artistic Director Tracey Elaine Chessum, Ph.D.

The program consists of the following masterpieces for violin and piano:

Gershwin; Porgy and Bess suite
Korngold: Suite "Much Ado About Nothing"
Waxman: Carmen Fantasy
Bernstein: West Side Story

This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! (with a suggested donation of $25). Any donations received will benefit Pallas Theatre Collective, a 501(c)3 organization.

Seats can be reserved at http://pallastheatre.org/tickets/horman
